Portraits are done on Clairefontaine pastelmat, Canson Mi Teintes, or Stonehenge Paper, using various brands of coloured pencil and or pastel.

Good reference photos mean a lot in helping me capture the character of your animal. The eyes are so important, a good light reflection in the eye and good shadows…. photos in mid morning or evening are good for shadows and light on a sunny day, flashes distort the animal and are not recommended. However if you prefer to send a favourite photo I would certainly be able to work with that too. The best one may be the last one you take. My email address and phone # are above. Send as many photos as you want. There is no charge until we decide on a good photo, size you want and any other considerations. While I work on your portrait I will send you an update once in a while for your approval, but once I start on the portrait, and because preparing it does take time and effort, there will be a non refundable $20.00 fee.

Postage in Canada – depending on size and distance.is estimated at $15/$20…unless you can pick it up in Dunnville , Ontario then it’s free ….for international I will get a quote for you and it will include tracking and insurance for a safe delivery.
Your portrait will be shipped by a good postal system and care taken to assure a safe delivery.
