I am sorry I have been so long in sending out a letter to my subscribers, but I have had a few challenging commissions to deal with. Unfortunately, when I get into my new project, I seem to forget all else, which, of course, is both good and bad. I just finished a project for The Decorative Painter in the USA, and It took a month or more to get it right. It will be in the magazine in the fall, so I will let you all know when it comes out.
I have also had two rather challenging commissions. One was called “First Snow,” and the second was a horse named Gracie. I truly enjoyed doing both of them. I did receive a very kind note from Kim. I will add it below with her kind permission. Gracie is still on my desk, and she and I have bonded. What a beauty she is.
I am going to start working on some more tutorials now; I will keep you posted. The first will be a butterfly on a purple Lupin flower.
I am excited about these tutorials; they are a lot of fun, though hectic at times.
My website is all updated, and I closed my Fine Art America site for prints., which will give me more time to concentrate on other things.
Not much more news. I will keep you posted a little more promptly in the future…… I HOPE!
Letter from Kim
Hello Patricia! I want to thank you so much for the painting. What a beautiful gift my co-workers gave me as a retirement gift. I love the snow so much…. everything about it brings such joy to me. I have always admired your paintings. I also have the painting of the two kids with the toboggan on a snowy night. It is beautiful, and I treasure it so much. I want to thank you for sharing your talent with so many people. I am blessed indeed, and I will cherish these always.
Could any artist be more grateful and inspired than to hear such a thank you from a customer?
